This delicious vegetarian roast has the wonderful flavour and texture of wild porcini mushrooms running through it. Wrap its meaty texture up in puff pastry, for a lovely Vegetarian Wellington. Chop it up and combine with gravy to make a warming and wholesome pie filling.

Produced with energised water using Schauberger technology in a 100% vegetarian, vegan factory. Vegusto use no palm oil in our production.
To experience the full flavour, we recommend cutting the roast into 1cm thick slices and frying them with sufficient oil on both sides for about 30 seconds. Moreover, Vegusto plant-based roasts are a real delicacy when breaded before frying adding a very special highlight to any dinner table.
For a more traditional approach the roast can be baked in a pre-heated oven at 150 deg C for 20 to 25 mins. During cooking, moisten the roast occasionally with gravy or oil, to avoid from getting too dry. It's best brush after 7 mins and again after 15mins and then cover with foil to keep roast more moist.
All of our vegan roasts can also be enjoyed cold, e.g. cut into thin sandwich slices or into strips as salad topping. Similarly, you can also mince the Swiss vegan Vegusto roasts for pastry fillings.

- Makes a superb vegan Wellington Review by Michael
Absolutely delicious if you prepare it right. I wrap mine in puff pastry to make a Wellington which is then absolutely delicious with a decent gravy (I use Bisto Best vegetable gravy). I'm not a great cook but a wellington with roast potatoes, veg and gravy is a sure fire way to impress guests, especially as a Christmas dinner. However, it's so delicious you will want to eat it year round.
The only issue I have is the presence of almonds in the ingredients, which may be a problem for nut allergy sufferers. (Posted on 28/07/2016)
- Excellent and easy - what more do you want? Review by Brightonbabe
I followed the instructions and covered the roast with pastry (not home made but vegan) and popped it in the oven for 20 minutes. It was lovely and SO easy. I served it with the usual veg and roast potatoes and my sister (who is vegetarian but not vegan) loved it and so did I. Thank you for making this meal so tasty and easy. (Posted on 04/01/2016)
